Privacy at Sava

Sava collects as little about you as it can, and never sells it. This page says what we keep, why, who sees it, and how to have it removed.

Sava is a property listing site for the Philippines, operated by Brian Santamaria. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). Questions go to 1sava.properties@gmail.com.

Our Data Protection Officer is Brian Santamaria, at 1sava.properties@gmail.com.

What we collect

What we keep depends on what you do. Browsing without an account leaves nothing that identifies you.

When youWe keepWhy
Browse listingsNothing tied to you. Visits are counted anonymously (see below)So brokers can see interest in their listings
Create an accountYour email address and your name. If you sign in with Google, Google also shares your profile picture with us; we don't use or show itTo sign you in, by email link or with Google, and show your saved listings
Save a listingWhich listing you saved, against your accountTo show it in your Saved list
Tap WhatsApp, Viber, Call or Email on a listingAn anonymous count of the tap. The conversation itself happens in that app, not on SavaSo the broker can see how many people got in touch
Submit a property through SellYour name, email, phone, the property's details and address, and its photosTo review your listing and contact you about it
Publish listings as a broker with an accountThe name, PRC licence number and contact channels you publish on your listings, and which listings you controlYou publish them so buyers can reach you; we keep which listings are yours so only you can manage them

Photos. Photos on published listings carry no location or camera data: we remove it before they go live.

What we never ask for. Government ID numbers, bank or card details, or your date of birth.

How we count visits and contacts

We count interest in a listing without keeping who showed it. When you view a listing or tap a contact button, we combine your connection's IP address and browser type with a random value that changes every day, and keep only the scrambled result.

  • We never store your IP address.
  • The daily random value is deleted after its day ends. After that, no one at Sava can link a count back to you, or connect your visits on different days or to different listings.
  • One visit per listing per day. Viewing the same listing five times in a day counts once.
  • No cookie is set for counting.
  • Automated traffic isn't counted, and neither are the listing's own brokers or Sava's staff viewing it.

If you're signed in, the count uses your account instead of your connection, under the same daily random value, so it is just as unlinkable once the day ends.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't show ads.

Services we use

A few companies run parts of Sava for us. They process your information only to provide that service.

ServiceWhat it doesWhere
SupabaseOur database, sign-in and photo storageSingapore
VercelHosts the site; Web Analytics counts site-wide traffic, and Speed Insights measures page speed, without cookiesNorth America
SentryReports errors so we can fix themUnited States of America

Some of these store data outside the Philippines. We choose providers that protect it to a standard comparable to Philippine law.

Messaging apps. When you tap WhatsApp, Viber, Call or Email, you leave Sava. What you send is handled by that app under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

Sava uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember a page layout you picked. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and counting visits sets none.

If you never sign in, Sava sets no cookies, unless you open a link that picks a page layout; that choice is then remembered in a cookie.

How long we keep it

InformationKept
Your accountUntil you ask us to delete it
Saved listingsUntil you remove them or delete your account
Visit and contact countsKept as counts. They can't be linked to anyone once their day ends
Sell submissionsWhile the listing is being reviewed or is on Sava, then until you ask us to delete it
Listing details and their historyKept as a record of the property, with the broker who listed it
BackupsUp to 12 months

Deleted information can remain in our backups for up to 12 months before it rolls off. We never restore it into the live site except to recover from a failure.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your account and what's tied to it;
  • stop using your information for a purpose you object to.

Write to 1sava.properties@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days.

Visit and contact counts can't be traced back to you, so there is nothing of yours in them for us to find or delete.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your request, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Changes to this page

When Sava starts collecting something new, this page changes before the feature goes live, and the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects information we already hold about you, we'll email you if you have an account.
